Creating your Magazine


Once you have completed the following tasks you may use Photoshop to create your Double-page spread article and your Front Cover.

- Created a Flat Plan of your article and front cover
- Written your 400 word article about your fictional YouTube.

Using Photoshop to create your magazine...

When you open Photoshop ensure that you select the following presets
Cover Page: International Paper>A4>Portrait
Double Page Spread: International Paper>A3>Landscape

To use Photoshop effectively, you must use Layers well. Imagine it is like a Lasagne (you will see the top layer first).

Use this as a practice to hone your skills of the medium in preparation for your GCSE Coursework that you will complete later in the year.

1. Open Photoshop
2. In the menu bar, choose File > New to create a new image from scratch. Select a document preset 
International Paper>A4 for Front Cover  
International Paper>A3 for Double Page Spread > Image > Rotate Image > 90 degrees.
